Dublin Hotel…

We arrive in Dublin from Holyhead via the ferry

Well we aren’t actually staying in a hotel for the Dublin leg of our trip we are actually staying in a 2 bedroom apartment for the last 5 nights of our trip… I thought by that stage my daughter and I might need some extra space and with having a kitchen we will be able to buy some food and do a little cooking and it also has a washing machine and dryer, so we will have clean clothes…

This isn’t confirmed but there doesn’t look to be any issues, I just need Diana from Travel Escapes to go over the details and confirm the booking, we will be staying at the Parnell Square Apartments which is just off O’Connell Street where the tour buses leave from and also the Airbus to the Dublin Airport for our return flights to Australia…

Liverpool Hotel…

With the Liverpool leg of our trip I actually had some help from Matthew Hart who is a photography friend living in Liverpool… Who I am meeting up with to do some photography, I love his images and he inspires me…

I was able to give him a list of hotels and he let me know which would suit our needs best… Thanks Matt…

So in Liverpool we are staying at The Liner which looks impressive and again is near the train station in readiness for a day trip to Edinburgh and to Holyhead for our ferry ride to Dublin

London Hotel…

As with any trip finding a good place to stay is always hard especially if you don’t know the area, all you can do is look at where you arrive and leave from, where transport is and then places you want to visit during your stay…

London is a pretty BIG place…

I liked the Bloomsbury area due to it being not too far from the St Pancras Station where the Eurostar arrives from Paris and also where we will catch a train to Liverpool a few days later…

So after much looking by myself and Diana from Travel Escapes who at the end suggested Royal National Hotel, so that is where we are now booked into…

It also is a pick up spot from some of the tours we are booked to go on and one is a very early started so didn’t want to be traveling to far at like 5.00am in the morning…

Day Tours…

When I first started looking at day tours in the the various places I will be visiting I stumbled upon Viator… I was like OMG looking at all they had to offer from multi day trips, full day tours and half day tours… I was like a pig in mud… So I picked out a HEAP that sounded great and bookmarked them all so I knew which ones I would need to go back over…

Paris is all sorted, London is sorted, Liverpool is sorted, Edinburgh is sorted, I am down to Dublin ( Ireland ) and finding it mighty hard choosing between some…

My dilemma –

1 Full Day Tour :-

Limerick, Cliffs of Moher, Burren and Galway Bay Rail Tour from Dublin OR Cliffs of Moher Day Trip from Dublin
The first one has train travel then coach travel then train travel back to Dublin, the second is all coach travel… Slightly different routes and the first one you visit the Cliffs after lunch and the second one you visit them before lunch…

2 Full Day Tour :-

Cork and Blarney Castle Rail Trip from Dublin OR Blarney Castle and Cork Day Trip from Dublin

Again one offers train travel at the start, then coach then train back again while the other is all coach travel…

3 Half Day Tour :-

Dublin Bay and Malahide Castle Half-Day Tour OR Half-Day Dublin Coastal Experience the first has a guided tour of Malahide Castle and a stop at the Bay while the other one takes you to Howth Summit and the Bay…

So now you understand where I am coming from…

So if you live in Ireland or have been to any of these places or done these tours please share with me your thoughts, email me if you like l.ripper1965@gmail.com

I best get back to reviewing them all…

Wish me luck…
